The Northwest Georgia Regional Technology Competition

Sixty-two students in grades 3-12 participated in the Northwest Georgia Regional Tech Competition at Georgia Highlands College. These students earned first place at the Darlington Technology Competition in November in order to advance to the regional level. This event provides participants an opportunity to work on the following important skills: critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, time management, decision-making, organizational and creativity. Competitors presented a project in one of the following categories:

  • Audio Production
  • Device Modification
  • Digital Photo Production
  • Game Design
  • Graphic Design
  • Internet Applications
  • Mobile Apps
  • Multimedia Applications
  • Productivity Design
  • Programming
  • Robotics
  • Video Production

The following students earned first place in their category for their grade level and will have the opportunity to compete at the Georgia Student Technology Competition on March 11 at the Kennesaw State Marietta Campus.
