Senior Caleb Baldwin has been named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for January.
A day student who has been enrolled at Darlington for the past eight years, Baldwin has taken 19 Honors and AP courses during his high school career. He is treasurer of National Honor Society and a member of Mu Alpha Theta, Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica, Tri M Music Honor Society, and International Thespian Society. He is drumline leader in the Stadium Band and a member of the Y-Cabinet. He has received the Wofford Scholar Award and the McKemie-Wilkinson Percussion Scholarship.
Outside of school, Baldwin volunteers as a middle school youth leader at First Presbyterian Church.
The son of Cristy and Joseph Baldwin of Rome, Caleb was honored at an Optimist Club luncheon on Jan. 27.
