Senior Giulia Verzino has been named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for February.
A day student, Verzino has taken 20 AP and Honors courses during her time at Darlington. She is a member of National Honor Society, Sociedad Honorara Hispanica, Mu Alpha Theta and International Thespian Society. She is president of the Concert Choir and a member of the Darlingtones a cappella group. She has performed in the winter musical all four years of high school and is also a member of the cross country and track teams. Verzino serves as a day liaison leader in Thornwood House and as secretary of the Science Club.
The daughter of Gabriela and Marco Verzino of Rome, Giulia will be honored at an Optimist Club luncheon on Feb. 25
