This weekend's Rome International Film Festival will feature three films with Darlington ties.

Mary-Elizabeth Prusakowski's ('22) film, "The Boy's Night Sky," will be screened on Saturday afternoon.

"In the Moment," co-produced by Jeff Cramer ('90), will be screened Saturday at 7 p.m. at the DeSoto Theatre.

In this fish-out-of-water indie comedy, Alexis is accepted into renowned actor Matt Turner's acting class and moves from South Carolina to Atlanta to pursue her dream of being an actor even though she has no experience. But she makes friends, learns a lot and there's eventually a happy ending. Tickets are $10 each.

Cramer lives in Greenville, S.C.

The closing night film, “Miss Arizona,” is produced by Michael McAlpin ('94) and written/directed by his wife, Autumn. It will be screened Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at Rome City Auditorium.

Starring Johanna Braddy, Missi Pyle and Steve Guttenberg, the film is about a former pageant queen embarking on an all-night adventure with four unlikely friends she meets at a women’s shelter. Tickets are $10 each, with $5 of each ticket sold being donated to the William S. Davies Homeless Shelter.

McAlpin lives in California with his wife and their four children.
