New members have been selected to represent Darlington School in the Admission Office’s Tiger Expert Program for 2015-16. These students will join the 38 returning Tiger Experts from the 2014-15 school year.
“Selection is based on enthusiasm and commitment to Darlington,” said Derek Perkins director of admission.”
Students are recommended by faculty or staff and also go through an interview process.
“Tiger Experts have a wonderful opportunity to develop leadership skills and make a difference in their school community,” said Stephanie Fleming, Tiger Expert coordinator. “Being selected for this position is an honor and a privilege.”
The Tiger Experts are organized into four groups, each with a respective student leader. Their areas of focus are (1) touring prospective day students; (2) touring prospective resident students; (3) representing Darlington at speaking engagements; and (4) outreach and correspondence with students who have inquired about Darlington or been accepted to our school.
The Day Student Tour Guide Team will be led by rising senior Sally Jones of Rome. New members include rising seniors Braxton Ballard, Bob Ledbetter, Hanna Jon Lewis, Charlie Shorey, and Caroline Thoms; rising juniors Anna Kate Cagle and Hannah Jones; and rising sophomores Ellison Brewster, Caroline Cordell, Samanda Cox, Madeline Dillmon, Jack Druckenmiller, Tigger Frix, Julia Holmes, Rosalee Kelley and Abby Sklar, all of Rome.
The Resident Student Tour Guide Team will be led by senior Kyle Tackeberry of Matthews, N.C. The Office Team will be led by rising senior Kira Zhang of China.
