Last week and over the weekend, Darlington played host to approximately 21 prospective students and their families. It was a great weekend to feature athletics, academics and the arts, and the feedback we received has been tremendous. We had families from Bermuda, Jamaica, Grand Cayman Island, Mississippi, Colorado, Arkansas, Canada and Georgia.
Throughout the course of the weekend, parents remarked how lovely our campus is, how diverse we are, and most importantly, how happy our students seem to be. Parents had the opportunity to eat lunch in the dining hall on Saturday, which prompted a discussion about our students and all the smiles. After lunch, parents toured Rome and returned to attend the winter musical, which was fantastic! There was an academic panel, a student life panel and, as always, many students on hand to give personal accounts of their experiences at Darlington.
Currently we have 17 complete applications from the visiting students and we are their first choice!
