Upper School students are encouraged to sign up for Darlington's Outdoor Club, which will be offered as an after-school activity this fall. Participants will learn skills that will help them enjoy many exciting outdoor pursuits that have been planned for the year.
Under the guidance of the Winshape Wilderness organization, students will learn orienteering, kayaking, rock climbing, leave no trace, mountain biking and more. They will complete 3-week units focusing on specific skills with each session culminating in a trip geared at using those skills. Examples include whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River, rock climbing at Rocktown and hiking on the Pinhoti Trail.
If you are interested in any of these activities, please contact me to sign up for the Outdoor Club!
