During my visits with alumni, I am always impressed with the level of appreciation and enthusiasm everyone has for Darlington. Each person always has a story about a favorite teacher, a sporting event, a coach, or sometimes even a tale of mischief.
As time passes, alumni have a chance to reflect on their individual experiences at Darlington and see how the school has helped shape and mold them into who they are today. After doing so, many of these folks look for ways to give back. Some volunteer time, many give money, but anyone in Georgia can participate in the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program.
This initiative allows taxpayes to re-direct a portion of their Georgia tax liability to Darlington and claim a tax credit in return. The school is then able to use this money to provide an opportunity for new students to attend Darlington in the form of scholarship assistance. What a great way to help a deserving student obtain a Darlington experience!
