Outstanding academic achievement has won senior Elizabeth Buice the honor of being named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for March.
Buice has a GPA of 93.13 with six Honors and three AP credits. While at Darlington, she has earned the Parents’ Association Student Award and has been inducted into the Sociedad Honoraria Nacional de El Coronel, Art National Honor Society and the Cum Laude Society. A four-year member of the cross country and track teams, she has qualified for state multiple times and served as captain of both teams for the past two years. Buice has been named Most Valuable Runner and Floyd County Student-Athlete of the Year. She has also been involved in Concert Choir, the Darlingtones Ensemble and “The Music Man” cast.
The daughter of Fran (’76) and Rick Buice of Rome, Elizabeth Buice was honored at an Optimist Club luncheon on March 31.
