ESP Big Hoops Volunteers and Buddy's needed!


Grades > 9-12

esp Rome presents Big Hoops! On Friday, April 5th at 6PM, some of Rome's best educators and entreprenuers will compete in a basketball game with a mission to create transformative experiences for people with disabilities. We need volunteers and buddy's!  Please see the attached flyers to sign up.  


Lifeguard Certification Course- deadline April 3rd


Grades > 9-12

Attention Students age 15 and up,

Darlington School will be offering a Lifeguard Certification/ Recertification Course led by Coach Powers starting on April 10th. Please use this attachment to find more information about the prerequisites, price, and time frame. If you have any questions, please email Coach Powers-swimsafetyplus.ga@gmail.com

The deadline to sign up is April 3rd to give candidates time to get the online portion completed before April 10th.


Darlington International Fair Sign-Up


Grades > Pre-K to 12

Darlington's annual International Fair will be held on the morning of Friday, April 12, in the Johnson Fieldhouse of the Huffman Athletic Center.  All Darlington students will be attending at different times during the event.  This year, we would like to invite our day families from all divisions to present a display from their own country or cultural background (either independently or in partnership with upper school students in cases where there are upper school students from the same country or background). The more countries we have represented, the more fun it is for everyone! More information can be found on the sign-up form linked with this announcement.  The deadline to sign up is Friday, April 5. Easter Break Information

Easter Break will be Friday, March 29, through Monday, April 1. School will be closed Friday through Monday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 2. 



Princess Night With The Varsity Cheerleaders


Grades > Pre-K to 8

Come join the Varsity Cheerleaders for a Princess Night!

Who: Pre-K to 3rd Grade Students

When: Friday, May 3, 6-9 p.m.

Where: Thatcher Hall Commons

Cost: $50 per student

We will do hair, makeup and nails. Dinner and snacks will be served with lots of princess fun!

Online registration is now open. Click here to register. Please note, you will select "Darlington After School Program", not "Darlington Summer Programs 2024", and then select Princess Night. Spots are limited, so register early!

2024-2025 School Supply Ordering Information for Pre-K to 8


Grades > Pre-K to 8

1st Day School Supplies will be providing the opportunity for our parents to purchase school supplies for the 2024-2025 school year, which not only offers affordability, but convenience as well. You will be able to place your order online using our teacher supply lists.

 1st Day School Supplies offers superior customer service, name brand products and competitive pricing. 

The supplies will be delivered to school free of charge, and available to the students for the first day of school, for those that order before the June 30, 2024 deadline. Online ordering will not be available after that date.

Middle School Spring Events-Save the Date

Mark your calanders and don't miss out on the fun events planned for the middle school students. The students will be voting next week on the specifics for these events. More details will be shared closer to time.

Upper School Physicals


Grades > 9-12

Please plan on getting ahead of the game and take advantage of the physicals for next year provided by Atrium Health. This year they will be on April 10th at 6:00 pm.at the Huffman Athletic Center, and they will be of no cost to you. Thank you Atrium Health Services.



Junior-Senior Prom Ticket and T-Shirt Order Form


Grades > 9-12

ON CLOUD NINE Junior-Senior Prom tickets and t-shirts are now available for purchase online. The deadline for t-shirt orders is April 5. Ticket sales will continue until April 12th at $50 each.  After that date, ticket prices will increase to $60 each.

2nd Annual TRI-ESP Triathlon


Grades > Pre-K to 12

We are excited to present the 2nd annual TRI-ESP triathlon at Darlington!  We would love to have your help as a volunteer or buddy to a participant in the race!

Saturday, May 4, 2024 - Huffman Center pool, parking lot, track and Huffman patio

Athletes arrive at 4:00 pm

Race begins at 5:00 pm

Athletes and buddies will complete 1 lap swim, 2 laps bike, 1 lap run and CELEBRATE!

We will celebrate all athletes at the conclusion of the race!

THURSDAY, May 2 E.L. Wright Academic Awards Assembly – Location: Morris Chapel, 9:15 a.m. Parents will be notified in advance if their child is receiving an award.

MONDAY-FRIDAY – MAY 6 - 17 (weekdays only), AP Exams AP Exams (see online calendar for specific exam dates and times)

FRIDAY - MAY 10, Breakfast for Senior GHSA Athletes (including cheer) 7:30 a.m. - 8:15 a.m., Location: Dodd Banquet Room

FRIDAY – MAY 10, Mandatory Graduation Rehearsals Graduation Rehearsal, Darlington Campus – chapel lawn, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Exemptions announced and college information wrap-up. Attendance for all seniors at rehearsals is required.

FRIDAY - MAY 17 – Honors Day Program Honors Day, Location: Morris Chapel, 1:30 p.m. Parents will be notified in advance if their child is receiving an award.

FRIDAY, MAY 17 - Baccalaureate Service & Reception Baccalaureate Service, Location: Morris Chapel, 7:00 p.m. Speaker: TBD Seniors arrive at 6:40 p.m. - line up on the Zelle patio Baccalaureate Reception hosted by US Tiger PRIDE, 8:00 p.m., McCallie-Kennedy patio (rain or shine)

SATURDAY - MAY 18 - Commencement Commencement, Darlington Campus, Chapel Lawn, 9:30 a.m. (rain location: Van Es Arena of the Huffman Athletic Center) Speaker: TBD Photographer will take group photos on the library steps beginning at 8:00 a.m . - Groups will include an entire class photo, international students, 4-year boarding, PK-12 Students, Legacy families, etc. Sound check for choir and orchestra seniors, 8:30 a.m. Location: risers behind the stage. Seniors line up at 9:00 a.m. on the pathway to Home on the Hill.

DRESS CODE FOR BOYS:

BACCALAUREATE: Blue blazer w/Darlington crest* & khaki slacks. White shirt & tie/bowtie. Socks & dark dress shoes (no sneakers)

GRADUATION: Blue blazer w/Darlington crest* & gray slacks White shirt & Darlington purple senior tie/bowtie* Socks & dark dress shoes (no sneakers)
