Summer Scholars:
Robotics and Engineering

Student teams will work on First Lego League competitions as well as new challenges relating to solar-powered vehicles, homeland security and alternative energy. Each of the two sessions will offer unique and exciting learning opportunities. Campers registered for both sessions will be given more advanced opportunities during the second week. Students will visit Darlington’s Pool two times each session, and other activities will take place on the athletic field or in the gymnasium. Sessions limited to 22 campers.

About the director

Owen Kinney has been a teacher at Darlington’s Upper School since 1999. He has directed academic enrichment and adventure camps for Middle School students for the past 7 years. He has been the coach for the DarBots, Darlington’s First Lego League robotics team, for the past three years. Since arriving at Darlington, he has taught Biology, Environmental Science, AP Environmental Science, and Natural History at the Upper School.
