Mission
Darlington School’s Intercultural Camp immerses students in the English language while fostering cooperation and respect among differing cultures. Participants develop language and social skills through group interactions, travel and classroom curriculum.
Tracks
Participants may choose one of two tracks:
Academic: Focusing on U.S. History, English and ESL, this track is geared toward preparing participants to enter the American educational system.
Athletic: This track allows campers to join Darlington School’s Tennis Academy for the summer and participate in high-performance tennis training and tournaments as well as the ESL component.
Program Highlights
This two-week intercultural program is inclusive of English as a Second Language (ESL) morning classroom time no fewer than three days a week, with afternoon activities and weekend overnight trips. One very special trip is planned on the second weekend to The Biltmore Estate and Gardens located in Asheville, N.C., the largest private home in the United States.
