Joe Montgomery has served as chief advancement officer since 2004. He has over 25 years of experience in banking and in fundraising for private educational institutions. He holds a B.A. from Stetson University and has completed additional studies at Harvard University’s Institute of Educational Management in the Graduate School of Education and the University of Oklahoma’s ABA School of Banking and Williamsburg Development Institute. Joe and his wife Rebekah (’78), who teaches kindergarten at Darlington, are the parents of alumnae Anne (’05), Mary Beth (’08) and Hannah (’10).

Rick Buice has been a member of Darlington’s faculty since 1969. He was the school’s first technology teacher and served as a faculty member and, later, chairman of that department until he moved to the Advancement Office in 2009. He currently serves as an advancement officer with a focus on alumni relations, class agent cultivation and reunion giving. He and his wife Fran (’76), a math teacher at Darlington, are the parents of two alumni, Kristi (’05) and Elizabeth (’08).

Clay Doss (’74) has served as director of planned giving since 2009. He holds a B.S. from Auburn University and has a wealth of experience and expertise in estate planning and wealth management. Previously, he served as a financial services representative and was recognized as the Top Life Insurance Producer for 2007 in New England Financial’s Atlanta sales office. Clay is the father of Darlington alumna Christie (’07).

Doug Hamil has served as director of graphic design since 2007. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Visual Communication from The Art Institute of Atlanta, and has over 20 years of experience in advertising, graphic design and multimedia communications. He is also an accomplished illustrator. Prior to his work at Darlington, he owned and operated Doug Hamil Advertising Inc. He is married to Paige Hamil, database manager in the Admission Office.

Tannika King has served as director of media relations since 2004. As such, she is the school’s spokesperson and provides guidance to school leadership on all matters of communication. She also serves as editor of Darlington Magazine. She holds a B.A. in Communication from Berry College. Prior to her work at Darlington, she coordinated media and public relations efforts for Shorter College.

Julie Lucas (’97) has served as Second Century Campaign director since 2007. She holds B.A. from Loyola University in New Orleans. In her previous role as sales training specialist for Porsche Cars North America Inc., she gained a wealth of experience in marketing, communications and sales. Julie is married to Sam Lucas (’97).

Alan has taught graphic design at Darlington since 2005 and also serves as a communication specialist in the Communication Office. He holds a B.S. in Graphic Design from Samford University. A two-time Darlington Coach of the Year, Alan is head cross country coach and distance track coach. Prior to Darlington, he spent two years in Lusaka, Zambia, coaching basketball and swimming at the American International School. He also helped start the Running for Life sports camp in Kiev, Ukraine.

Vicki Vincent first joined the Advancement Office in 1995. Since then, she has held a variety of different roles including class agent officer and director of alumni relations. She is responsible for the development and management of alumni programs for Darlington, including the Alumni Council, the Class Agent Program and special events like Alumni Weekend. She is the mother of Darlington alumni Dottie (’07) and Abby (’09) and Jamie (’10).

Anne Paige Wilson joined the Advancement Office in 2005 as director of marketing and took on her current role as director of stewardship in 2011. She holds a B.A. in Communication from Berry College and has more than 15 years of experience in marketing and public relations. Prior to her work at Darlington, she was the event coordinator for Redmond Regional Medical Center. She and her husband, Scott, have three children, Oren (’12), Gracen (’16) and Nolan (’18).
