Transforming Lives: The Second Century Campaign

In 2007, Darlington embarked on a historic campaign to ensure that its second century would be as successful as its first. In order to secure Darlington’s future, this $90 million campaign sought to build a new Middle School, transform the boys’ houses, establish and endow a Learning Center, sustain the Annual Fund, make improvements to technology, fund student scholarships, and increase endowment for faculty support.

Several of these top priorities have already been funded. To date, over 1,000 Darlington alumni, parents and friends have made sacrificial gifts to this campaign totaling over $72 million.

Now the time has come to address the two remaining priorities in the campaign: endowment for student scholarships and faculty support. Teachers and students are the heart and soul of Darlington’s academic enterprise and we hope you will consider making a gift to one of these critical priorities, or both. Your gift to Darlington School and the Second Century Campaign will ensure that we can retain and recruit the finest teaching faculty and provide important financial assistance for students.

Two generous friends of Darlington have issued challenges to match dollar-for-dollar all gifts to financial aid or faculty support up to $500,000 each. Their commitments allow you to double the impact of your gift to the campaign.
