Why Give?

The Annual Fund gives Darlington the financial resources and flexibility to develop and sustain programs that make it a truly exceptional place to teach and learn. Without it, Darlington would be unable to offer, or would be forced to limit, programs and features such as these:

• An admission department that attracts, competes for and keeps the best students
• Faculty support and continuing education opportunities
• Smaller, more intimate class sizes by maintaining a low student-to-teacher ratio
• An outstanding curricula at each grade level that challenges each student academically
• A variety of challenging opportunities in fine arts, athletics and school clubs
• A thriving servant leadership program that connects our students to the community
• Opportunities to deserving students through financial aid
• The additional support many students need offered through the Learning Center
• An enhanced learning environment dedicated to the core values of wisdom, service and honor, where everyone is challenged to learn with passion, act with integrity and serve with respect
• Leadership opportunities and student interaction via the English House System
• Information technology improvements and innovations
• New and challenging traditions in our Middle and Lower divisions, such as the D’Oscars and WDLS
• Class reunions and other alumni/ae activities
