Melinda Holmes, Darlington’s director of library services, has been appointed treasurer of the Association of Independent School Librarians Board of Directors.

“It is a great honor to be asked by a group of librarians from across the nation to serve the Board of Directors in a leadership capacity,” Holmes said. “I have enjoyed establishing connections with other independent school librarians and promoting the exciting changes taking place in our libraries here at Darlington."

Holmes has been a member of Darlington’s faculty since 2006. She holds a B.S. from James Madison University (Va.) and a M.S. from Longwood University (Va.) She also serves as president of Georgia Independent School Librarians (GISL).
