Science and math honor societies induct new members

Darlington School’s science and math honor societies inducted new members during a ceremony held Monday, April 3, in Morris Chapel.

To be inducted into Gamma Chi Epsilon Science Honor Society, seniors must be a member of the Georgia Junior Academy of Science; be in the top 20% of their graduating class; have successfully completed at least three science courses and be enrolled in a fourth; and be in good standing with Darlington School. Inductees included  Herren Burgess, Anna Katherine Cates, Annaliese Clevenger, Ethan Delashmit, Sara Dickinson, Bernadette Ebri, Brock Gardner, Huy Hoang, Nicholas Jones, Christina Kinder, Farrin Mumpower, Emily Orr, Gracie Padgett, Luke Parker, Gianna Pieroni, Caroline Schrum and Griffin Wheeler
 
To be inducted into Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, students must be currently enrolled in Pre-Calculus or higher and have a minimum 95 average in all math courses taken, and no grades below 90. Only seniors may be inducted during their first year at Darlington. Inductees included  Reid Blackmon, Herren Burgess, Amy Chen, Robert Chen, Stacy Chen, Jacqueline Cline, Mitch Crego, Ishani Desai, Sam Ding, Jack Druckenmiller, Emily Edwards, Tigger Frix, Virgil Gong, David Hagler, Zenith Han, Michaela Hu, Elizabeth Hudson, Grace Hurley, Ellen Jiang, Gabby Jones, Sophia Kalusche, Peter Liu, Sirius Liu, Callie Maffett, Andre Mbakwe, Stella Miao, Long Nguyen, Gracie Padgett, Anna Kate Roberts, Caroline Schrum, Alan Shorey, Abby Sklar, Jasmine Sparkman, Sam Tackeberry, Fifi Tran, Roger Tran, Hillary Tunnell, Nolan Wilson, Philip Woford, David Wu and Chelsea Ye.
