Five wrestlers represented Darlington at the USA Pre-Season Nationals tournament in Cedar Falls, Iowa last weekend. Top wrestlers from as far away as California, New York and Florida came to Iowa for what has become one of the nation's top tournaments.

Darlington's Davis Peek ('18), Colton Woods ('19) and Dalton Blankenship ('19) competed in the high school division. Bryant Wilkinson ('21) and Luke McDurmon ('21) wrestled in the middle school division.  McDurmon finished in the top eight of this national event, earning him the status of All-American.

“This is a very, very tough event where wrestling well can still get you 0-2," said Craig Kipp, community wrestling coach. "The young men competed hard and we knew what we were up against. We came away with what we were looking for and know know areas where we can build on. Bryant wrestled well and went 2-2. Luke worked his way through many hard-fought matches and earned his way to the podium. We are very proud of all five guys.”
