Senior Chase Pittman has been named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for October.
A day student, Pittman has attended Darlington since sixth grade. He has taken seven Honors and AP courses and is vice president of the Honor Council as well as a captain of the cross country team. He also plays lacrosse and spent two years playing JV basketball. He is a member of the Cinematic Appreciation Club and serves as a spiritual life leason, FCA huddle leader, and day liaison for Moser House.
Outside of school, Pittman has done mission work and volunteered at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
The son of Joni and Dr. John Pittman of Rome, Chase was honored at an Optimist Club luncheon Oct. 17.
