Darlington graduates Jade Cox ('16) and Alyse Redden ('16) have been named to the A-AAAAA All-Area second team for girls' lacrosse.
Cox was a five-year member of Darlington’s lacrosse team, having started playing junior varsity as an eighth-grader. She lettered all four years of her high school career. This season she served as captain, was named Best Offensive Player, and was recognized as Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive year. She made 51 goals and had six assists, 55 draw controls and 86 ground balls. She will attend Birmingham-Southern College in the fall.
Redden was a three-year member of the girls' lacrosse team, and played goalie. This year she also served as a team captain, and was recognized with the Scholar Athlete Award and Pillar Award. Over the last season, Redden completed 116 saves from the goal. She will attend the University of Georgia in the fall.
