Students recognized at Spring Sports Assembly

Outstanding athletes in baseball, golf, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, and track and field were recognized at the Spring Sports Assembly on Monday, April 25, in Morris Chapel.

In baseball:

Junior Kane Popham of Cedartown, Ga., received the Athletic Booster Club Scholar Athlete Award.

Seniors Jake Maxwell of Silver Creek, Ga., and Jake Walker of Cedartown, Ga., received the Pillar Award.


Senior Jay Shadday of Rome was named Most Valuable Player. 

In golf:

Junior Avery Smith and senior Vraj Patel, both of Rome, received Athletic Booster Club Scholar Athlete Awards. 

Sophomore Stacy Chen of Rome and senior Daniel Morris of Cedartown, Ga., received the Coaches' Award.

Sophomore Stacy Chen and senior Vraj Patel, both of Rome, were named Most Valuable Golfers.

In lacrosse:

Seniors Alyse Redden of Cedartown, Ga., and Hunter Manning of Rome received Athletic Booster Club Scholar Athlete Awards.

Seniors Hanna Jon Lewis of Rome and Alyse Redden of Cedartown, Ga., received the Pillar Award.

Junior William Groover of Calhoun, Ga., received the Founders Award.

Seniors Jade Cox and Luke Johnson, both of Rome, were named Most Valuable Players. 

In soccer:

Junior Anna Katherine Cates and senior Adam Tarrant, both of Rome, and junior Huy Hoang of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, received Athletic Booster Club Scholar Athlete Awards.

Seniors Pressley Smith and Zoe Smith of Kingston, Ga., and Dylan Paracka of Rome received Coaches' Awards.

Seniors Keara Evans and Tanner Berry, both of Rome, were named Most Valuable Players.

In tennis:

Seniors Caroline Thoms of Kingston, Ga., Will Crawford and Carl Schriever, both of Rome, received Athletic Booster Club Scholar Athlete Awards. 

Sophomores Callie Maffett of Rome and Sam Tackeberry of Matthews, N.C., received the Pillar Award. 

Senior Milan Rane of Abqaiq, Saudi Arabia, and junior Andrey Aprelikov of Moscow were named Most Valuable Players. 
 
In track and field:

Seniors Jade Cox of Rome and Kenna Wells of Charlotte, N.C., and junior Ethan Delashmit of Acworth, Ga., received Athletic Booster Club Scholar Athlete Awards. 

Freshman Sydney Seymour of Rome, and seniors Kenna Wells of Charlotte, N.C., Carter Dingler of Cedartown, Ga., and Bob Ledbetter of Rome received the Pillar Award.

Seniors Stephanie Ward of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and Jonny Treco of Nassau, the Bahamas, were named Most Valuable Players.
