Darlington alumna and Soccer Academy standout Jane Campbell ('13) continues to amass a collection of accolades, having recently been voted Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Year.

The Stanford University junior plays for the Cardinal soccer team, where she was an integral part of leading the ladies to the NCAA College Cup championship last fall after saving two penalty kicks and scoring a final kick. In 2014, the goalie was honored with spots on the All-Pac-12 second team and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Pacific Region second team.

She is now tied in the Pac-12 conference's lead with fewest goals allowed (11) in 19 regular season games.

"What makes Jane different is her work ethic, and the fact that she is so driven and goal-oriented," said Chad Liddle, director of the Darlington School Soccer Academy. "She has known since she was at least 12 years old that she wanted to play in the Olympics. Sure enough, she is on that path.

Just last month, the Georgia native was named no. 25 in Top Drawer Soccer's collegiate Women's National Top 100 midseason roster.

Stanford's women's soccer team recently earned both its 10th conference title and a no. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament after going 16-2-1 on the year and 10-0-1 in the conference. Should the Cardinal continue to advance, the team could be looking at its seventh trip to the College Cup in the past eight years.

As a student at Darlington, Campbell was a member of the Soccer Academy and varsity basketball team. During her senior year, Campbell was honored with the Most Outstanding Female Athlete Award and was voted by her classmates as "Most Likely to be on ESPN."

"Jane would wake up, go to class, and train three to four times each week during her downtime," added Liddle. "She was able to train more for the sport than any of her peers outside of the Soccer Academy because everything was here on the Darlington campus."

While in high school, Campbell also played on the club team Concorde Fire South, and ultimately competed on the US National Team in the 2012 FIFA U17 World Cup. In 2011, she was named NSCAA Youth Girls Player of the Year.
