Darlington senior Daniel Morris is leading the pack as one of the main forces behind the creation of the new Cedartown (Ga.) Coca-Cola Museum. The facility is scheduled to open in June 2016, in what used to be the downtown Coca-Cola bottling plant.

The World of Coke recently sent a film crew to interview the senior for a documentary with the working title of “The 100 Years’ of Coca-Cola’s Contour Bottle.” The chance connection came about after Morris met a corporate officer at an international collectors convention last year.

The Coke aficionado is an avid collector of memorabilia and ultimately spearheaded the initiative to establish the new museum. He is the son of Darcy and Jamie Morris of Cedartown.
