Rising senior Bob Ledbetter won the Region 7-AA title and finished 13th at the Class AA State Meet in the 800-meter run. He is the son of Patti and Bob Ledbetter of Rome.
Junior Elijah McKoy was the Region 7-AA runner-up in the high jump and placed 11th in the event at the Class AA State Meet. He is the son of Pat Kidd and Ray McKoy of Rome.
Senior Patrick Kearns finished second at the Region 7-AA meet and seventh in the Class AA State Meet in the discus. He is the son of Jennifer and David Kearns of Adairsville, Ga.
Darlington’s 4x400 relay team won the Region 7-AA title and competed at sectionals. The squad consisted of rising senior Carter Dingler (son of Cindy and Van Dingler of Cedartown, Ga.), McKoy, Hal Bearden (’15) of Cartersville, Ga., and senior Jonny Treco (son of Jeanne and Shayne Treco of Nassau, Bahamas).
