Seven members of Darlington's varsity baseball team have been named to the 7AA All-Region first and second teams, as the Tigers finish their season with a 24-9 record as the Class AA state championship runner-up.
The following athletes were named to the All-Region first team:
Burton Dulaney ('15) had six wins over 47 innings, and a 2.66 ERA with 49 strikeouts. He had 37 hits, batting .378 with eight doubles, two triples, seven home runs and 40 RBIs.
Drake Frix, a rising senior and catcher, had 40 hits, batting .392 with 10 doubles, one triple and 22 RBIs.
John Goldin ('15) had six wins over 41 innings, and a 3.39 ERA with 26 strikeouts. He had 21 hits, batting .284 with three doubles, three triples and 16 RBIs.
Jay Shadday, a rising senior, had nine wins over 75 innings, and a 1.03 ERA with 89 strikeouts. He had 48 hits, batting .471 with 11 doubles, five home runs and 32 RBIs.
Tripp Flournoy ('15), Seth Little ('15), and rising senior Jake Maxwell were named to the All-Region second team.
