Bell comes to Darlington from Huntsville, Ala., where he served as head of Upper School at Randolph School for six years. Prior to his work there, he was assistant headmaster and dean of academic affairs at Woodberry Forest School in Woodberry Forest, Va. With over 19 years of experience in education, Bell holds a B.A. in History from the University of Richmond and an M.S. in Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. 

He and his wife, Andrea, have three sons, Charlie ('22), Jack ('24) and Brent ('26).
