Cynde Reneau, instructional technology coordinator for Darlington School, has been selected to be part of a panel discussion themed "Focusing on the Future" at Harbin Clinic's inaugural Gal Talk event this month.

“Gal Talk is a tribute to the growth of women’s leadership and an inspirational way to gather ideas from bright minds who are all focused on empowering females in health, wellness and leadership,” said Kenna Stock, executive director of the Harbin Clinic. “We think women of all ages will find something exciting and relevant to their lives."

This half-day women’s conference will take place July 25 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Historic DeSoto Theatre in downtown Rome. The program includes keynote speakers, educational panels, and professional networking designed to inspire women to strive for their best in health, wellness, and career advancement. There will also be an expo featuring a variety of vendors.

Speakers include Gretchen Kuglar Corbin, commissioner of the Georgia Department of Community Affairs; Anne Kaiser, northwest region vice president of Georgia Power; Evie McNiece, former mayor of Rome, current city commissioner and owner of Accounting Solutions Plus; and State Rep. Katie Dempsey (R-Rome).

A health and wellness panel will be led by Harbin Clinic physicians Dr. Melissa Dillmon, Dr. Archana Koganti and Dr. Diana Vallecilla. The morning will also focus on the future generation of women leaders with a panel discussion led by Reneau, Harbin Clinic Pediatrician Dr. Robersteen Howard and Berry College Vice President of Advancement Bettyann O’Neill.

If interested, Gal Talk attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the Shoebox Project to benefit the Open Door Home, a local organization that cares for abused and neglected children in this community. To be part of the project, conference attendees are asked to fill a shoebox with full-sized toiletry items. Representatives from the Open Door Home will be on site at the conference to collect the donations.

Admission to the Gal Talk conference is only $10 per person. Pre-registration is encouraged due to limited seating in the DeSoto Theatre. To purchase tickets, view Gal Talk’s schedule, read speaker bios and view the Shoebox Project item list, visit www.harbinclinic.com/galtalk
