"It was an incredible run this year!" said coach Randy Smith. "After our victory over a very talented Coosa team in the semifinals, we were headed to the FCAA Championship game. Our strategy was to keep the score tied, regardless. If we could send the game into PKs, we were going to win. However, with only a few minutes to play, Cedartown scored the game's only goal."

Smith said that the entire team deserves a lot of credit.

"We couldn't have come this far without everybody working together," he said. "Jack Eady, Rhett McDurmon, Tommy Atha and Jonathan Pieroni became the 'iron curtain.' Russell Shealy had a fantastic couple of games in the semis and championship, while Harris Peek and Alex Liddle did a tremendous job controlling the middle of the field.

"Additionally, Lawson Blake, Rand Smith, Davis Peek, JP Deaton and Nicolas Seijo moved the ball well up the sidelines, while Alan Shorey, Gibson Hicks and Aiden Buzzetti did a great job of keeping the pressure on," Smith continued. "Also critical to our success were Tejas Reddy, Harsh Patel, Luke Gober, William McClain, Ram Miniyar and Anish Patel. It has been a great year and I am so proud of this team."
