Language honor societies induct new members

Darlington School’s French and Spanish honor societies inducted new members during a ceremony held Tuesday, April 1, in Morris Chapel. 

To be inducted into Société Honoraire de Français, students must be enrolled in the fourth semester of French or higher; be a sophomore, junior or senior; have maintained an A average in French during the semester of selection, as well as an averaged cumulative grade of A for all work awarded secondary school credit; and have maintained a B average or higher in all other subjects during the semester of selection, as well as an averaged cumulative grade of B in all other subjects awarded secondary school credit (French not included). Inductees included Julie Rumbach, Ottonie Von Saldern and Rostam Zafari.

To be inducted into Sociedad Honoraria Nacional, students must be enrolled in their third year or more of Spanish and have a 90 overall average in Spanish III, an 85 in Spanish III Honors, or an 80 in Spanish IV/AP Spanish.
