Darlington School will host the District 7 Honor Orchestra on campus Feb.2-5, culminating in a special performance Sunday, Feb. 5, at 4 p.m. in the Middle School Commons.
“This is a very exciting weekend for us,” said Will Camp, director of Darlington’s instrumental program. “Select members of the Darlington Orchestra and the Georgia Cumberland Academy Orchestra will join several others from Rome High, Armuchee, Bremen, Carrollton and the home-schooled community for a weekend of great music and friendship. I hope to see as many folks as possible at Sunday’s performance!”
Song selections will include “Pavane” by Maurice Ravel, “Sympohony in D” by G.B. Sammartini, “Peer Gynt Suite No. 1” by Edvard Grieg, “Revenge of the Double Bass” by Joseph Reinagle and “Adagio and Fugue” by Mozart.
Participating Darlington students include Graham Daugherty, Sean Healy, Matt Choi, O'Keefe Johnson, David Ethridge, Anna Sea, Nolan Jackson, Katharina Scharlack, Arden Babb, Conner Hallett, Charlene Fan and Sara Lee.
