Hundreds of Romans enjoyed an evening of beautiful music at Darlington’s A.J. Huffman ’67 Memorial Athletic Center on June 12 as 11 current and two prospective Darlington students joined world-renowned euphonium soloist, Adam Frey, and the Rome Symphony Orchestra in concert.
Frey, a native of Atlanta, is widely regarded as one of the most entertaining and innovative performers of his generation, and is featured on multiple recordings with ensembles around the globe. This particular performance will feature some of opera’s greatest arias, including music by Verdi, Puccini and Rossini.
Students featured in the performance included Chase Brackett, Graham Daugherty, Sean Healy, O’Keefe Johnson and Stephanie Thomas on violin; Nolan Jackson, Mark Kim and Anna Sea on cello; Tyler Moore and Alexis Olszewski on clarinet; Keila Gunter on oboe; Emily Dodd on trumpet; and Asa Crawford on trombone.
