On day one of our Skidaway Island trip, we left Thatcher Hall at 5 a.m. and traveled to the UGA MAREX campus. Half of our group learned about dolphins and went on a boat ride on the Skidaway River to see dolphins in their natural habitat. They saw 15 dolphins! The other group went on a walk in the unique maritime forest, viewed fish and creatures native to the Georgia Coast in the MAREX aquarium, and dissected squid. We ended the day with a delicious dinner and board games.
