Students in Mrs. Lawson's and Mr. Ivester's fourth-grade classes channeled the characters from "Stranded," learning survival skills just like the kids in their summer reading. Students learned how to filter water, create shelter, and use a compass to navigate the Darlington campus.
Seven student groups of four were assigned different tasks throughout the day in a coordinated hands-on activity that combined math, reading, science and social studies.
