The DarBots competed in Dalton at the Northwest Georgia First Lego League Regional Qualifier on Dec. 7. Following the competition's theme of "Nature's Fury", the team put together a project involving tornado safety awareness focused around emergency preparedness kits and an educational Web site. The competition included several kinds of competition, including project presentation, design, core values, and the robot competition. The team placed third in the robot competition portion and received the Gracious Professionalism award, given to the team whose members show each other and other teams respect at all times during the competition.
