The second-graders enjoyed a beautiful hike to the bat caves, led by science teacher Justin Merriam. Along the way, we saw poison ivy and poison oak, a snake, and other small critters along the trail. Once in the cave, Mr. Merriam helped to point out one bat and features of the cave. It was an exciting trip!
