Third- through fifth-graders traveled to Main Elementary School and read their favorite books to the students there as part of World Read Aloud Day.
This trip is the culmination of a book drive which was coordinated by the Service Committee. The goal of the drive was to collect 1,500 books to donate to area schools and they ended up collecting over 3,600 books. The committee was able to donate 1,000 books to Main Elementary today and plan to distribute the remaining books to other area schools in the coming weeks.
