In the spirit of Fall for the Arts and National Hispanic Heritage Month, third-graders learned about Frida Khalo. We watched a BrainPop video about the Mexican artist. She is famous for her self-portraits and recognized by her unibrow. We read the book "Frida" by Jonah Winter and created self-portraits from cut paper. The final touch to each self-portrait was a unibrow!
