Second graders got the chance to explore the scientific method today during an apple experiment. Mr. Merriam joined the Jordan Jewels today to make apple volcanoes using baking soda and vinegar. Students had to think with their partners in order to make their own hypothesis and then carry out the experiment to reach a conclusion. Afterwards, the class used the remaining materials to make a larger "explosion" inside of the vinegar bottle.
