1st & 2nd Graders Take on the Marshmallow Challenge

First- and second-graders were eager to take on the Marshmallow Challenge. Each group was given eighteen sticks of spaghetti, three feet of tape and a marshmallow. The goal was to build the tallest structure using the noodles and tape while keeping the whole marshmallow on top. Students were placed into groups of five and given 18 minutes to complete the task. By the end, three groups had constructed a structure that supported the marshmallow.
