Thursday, April 14, 2016 | By Sam Moss | 267 views

Darlington was very well represented at the Annual Conference of the Southern Association for College Admissions Counseling (SACAC) in Miami April 9-12. In attendance were Dean of College Guidance Sam Moss (’63), Associate Dean Ivy Brewer, and registrar Karen Bennett, who also serves as a college adviser. Two additional “Darlington folks” were there as well – alumnae Ivey Harrison (‘99) and Leah (Waits) Lambert (’96).

Harrison currently serves as director of college counseling at Augusta Preparatory School, and Lambert serves as director of college counseling at the Asheville School.

SACAC is the professional association of the college counseling profession in the South. Membership is composed of over 1,800 college admissions and counseling personnel from colleges, universities, and secondary schools throughout the 11-state Southern region. Brewer currently serves as a member of the SACAC Board of Directors, and Moss previously served as president, after which he served for 10 years as the first adviser to the board.
