Mrs. Deaton's second grade class wrote letters to U.S. service personnel serving away from their families during the holidays. Each student was assigned a soldier and wrote a letter telling about themself, asking questions about the soldier's life, sending Christmas wishes, and thanking them for their service. Four students were chosen to read copies of their letter on air. We all enjoyed having Hank Crawford, Ava Lee, Teagan Martin, and Grace Watters share their words. We know these letters brought joy to those receiving them. WDLS was honored to be able to help share them with our school community.
