Jennifer has served as content manager in Darlington's Communication Office since 2016. She holds a B.S. from Shorter College and multiple certifications, including HubSpot's Inbound Marketing Certification and the Southeast Tourism Society's Tourism Marketing Professional Certification. Jennifer has nearly 20 years of experience in marketing and public relations, serving most recently as inbound marketing manager at SAI Digital. She is a member of the Downtown Development Authority Promotions Committee and a graduate of Leadership Rome.

Kevin Ivester ('87) has taught math at Darlington since 1995 and currently teaches middle grades. He holds a B.S. from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he played four years of soccer. Kevin has coached middle school basketball for more than two decades and also coaches middle school golf. Previously, he coached boys and girls soccer for 14 years.

How long have you worked at Darlington?

23 years

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Palos Verdes, Calif., until middle school; then we move to Rome and I began attending Darlington in seventh grade.

Tell us a little about your family...

My wife, Jackie, and I have two children, Lily (‘25) and Adrian (27).

Why did you choose Darlington?

I attended middle school and high school here and my mom taught here for 25 years.

What makes a good teacher?

Someone who is relentless in their pursuit of helping kids.

Who was your favorite teacher (and why)?

Mr. Van Es. I knew he cared about us as students and valued us as people.

My favorite movie is…

I have a few! “Annie Hall,” “Jules and Jim,” “Breakfast Club,” “Once Upon a Time in America,” and “Mulholland Drive.”

What makes a good student?

A kid who is respectful of everything and everyone in the classroom and who gives his best effort everyday.

My favorite trip was…

Traveling all over western Europe

If I could travel anywhere it would be…

Maui, Hawaii or Florence, Italy

What I like most about Darlington is…

It's simply home to me. I came here as a student in 1981, graduated in 1987, went to college, and have been back here teaching and coaching ever since.
