For nearly a century Darlington School has equipped young people for life with a proven track record in preparing students well for college. Since 1905, students from neighboring towns and around the world have joined the Darlington family. Since 1973, Darlington School has offered the same quality education and community experience to day families at the Lower School.

Darlington Lower School serves children from age four through grade five, offering a reading-centered, teacher-directed curriculum. The School emphasizes academic excellence within a safe, warm, nurturing environment. Stressing solid preparation in the fundamental academic skills of reading and phonics, writing, and computation, the School maintains a commitment to Christian traditions while honoring all cultures and beliefs.
The faculty and administration recognize the uniqueness of each child and try to foster in each one a passion for learning, a positive self-image, and respect for others.
