Dormitory rooms are double occupancy. Desk and chair, desk lighting, bookshelves,
wastebasket, and standard twin bed are provided. All rooms are air conditioned and carpeted.

*Our dress code requires that all shirttails be tucked in
and pants with belt loops be worn with a belt throughout the academic day. Girls’ tops must be long enough to cover
the waistband of a skirt or pants while sitting.
All students are expected to maintain a clean and neat
appearance. Boys are NOT
to wear baggy or slouchy clothing. Girls are NOT
to wear clothing that is too tight or revealing.
Clothing
articles displaying pictures or references to alcohol, tobacco, drugs, sex,
violence, racist organizations, or bad language are forbidden.
Earrings - since body piercing is
not permitted, girls are limited to one ring per ear and such will be
worn in the earlobe. Boys’
wearing of earrings is forbidden at all times.
Hair
Styles -
Bizarre, extreme, or unusual hair colors or styles are not permitted. Boys will not have ponytails, braids, beards,
goatees, mustaches, or long sideburns (mid-ear length).
Final
decisions regarding individual hairstyles will be made by the Dean of Students.
Darlington
School reserves the right to determine what is appropriate dress and appearance
for its students.
