Cindy Gordon

Cindy Gordon has served as director of stewardship for the Advancement Office since 2022. She joined the advancement team in 2007 and her previous roles have included director of strategic Initiatives, strategic initiatives coordinator, and executive assistant to the chief advancement officer. A graduate of Georgia Northwestern Technical College, Gordon earned her certification in graphic design from Emory University and has more than 30 years of experience in corporate operational support in the medical, insurance, and education fields. She and her husband, Kerry, have two sons, Matt and Tyler.

Darlington School hosts a blood drive in honor of Matt Gordon, who was in a serious car accident in November. The Model High School graduate is the eldest son of Kerry and Cindy Gordon, administrative manager in Darlington's Advancement Office.

Darlington School will host a Blood Assurance blood drive on Thursday, March 3, in honor of Matt Gordon. The Model High School graduate was seriously injured in a car accident last November when his truck collided with a concrete drainage pipe.

The Office of Institutional Advancement is pleased to announce two new hires:<br /><br /> <b>Cindy Gordon</b> has been named executive assistant to the chief advancement officer at Darlington School, effective Dec. 10. In this role, she will replace Pat Douglas, who is moving into a new position as campaign coordinator for Darlington’s Second Century Campaign. Most recently, Gordon was executive assistant and travel coordinator for American Insurance Marketing Corporation. She previously spent eight years at Harbin Clinic working in medical administration and human resources. She lives in Rome with her husband, Kerry, and their children Matt, 12, and Tyler, 4.<br /><br /> <b>Julie Lucas ('97)</b> has been named a regional director for Darlington’s Second Century Campaign. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Loyola University in New Orleans. Most recently, she was a sales training specialist at Porsche Cars North America Inc. in Atlanta. In this capacity, her responsibilities included serving as project coordinator for new product training launches, managing the internal team for the Porsche Partner Network, and serving as vice president of the Porsche Cars North America Community Involvement Team in 2005, to name a few. Lucas lives in Rome with her husband, Sam, also a 1997 alum of Darlington School.
