Previous Background
Libbie Zimmer has been a member of Darlington’s residential staff since 1997 and was named director of the Learning Center in 2006. She also serves on the student-led Discipline Committee. Libbie holds a B.S. from Meredith College (N.C.) and an M.Ed. from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to her work at Darlington, she taught in a public school setting for nine years. She and her husband, Casey, who teaches English and serves as director of financial aid, have two children, William (’19) and Ellie (’21).

Locks of Love

Learning Center Director Libbie Zimmer talks about Darlington's support of the Locks of Love organization, which provides hairpieces to children suffering from hair loss due to severe illnesses. In the past year, the school has collected over 600 inches of hair for donation.

School collects 'Locks of Love'
