Beat out your opponents and earn extra points with your teammates this fall by playing in Darlington’s 7-on-7 Passing Camp this summer. Play in 15 games with teammates and compete against other teams from Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.

Tommy Atha joined Darlington as assistant varsity coach for the offensive line in 1993. In 1995, he became offensive coordinator for the varsity football team and also coached the varsity girls’ basketball team.
Atha was named varsity football head coach in 2001, and has helped lead the Darlington Tigers to state playoffs 11 times, including five region championships, the 1998 state championship, and the state semi-finals in 2009. Atha was named the 2009 Rome News Tribune Coach of the year. His coaching philosophy is simple: “Fundamentals are the key to success.”
Prior to joining the Darlington faculty, Atha taught and coached football at Rockmart High School. A 1986 graduate of Rockmart, he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1990 from Presbyterian College, where he played football and baseball.
