Football vs Adairsville - shortened qtrs Location Darlington School 1014 Cave Spring Road Rome, GA 30161 map & directions Results W: 16-15 Game Summary Down 7-0 at the half, Darlington came back in the third to lead 8-7 after a long touchdown pass from Tripp Flournoy to Jeremiah McClure and a two point conversion run by Flournoy. Late in the third Darlington fumbled near midfield and Adairsville scooped it up and took it back for a touchdown. After the ensuing two point conversion Darlington was down 15-8. In the fourth quarter the two teams traded possessions with Darlington getting its last chance to tie or take the lead with just over three minutes left. Sam Hait and Tripp Flournoy tag-teamed at quarterback to help lead the tigers down the field. Facing fourth down plays twice in the drive, Flournoy connected with McClure on a short stop route to convert, and later with fullback Jesse House in the flats which resulted in a touchdown as the clock ticked down to 30 seconds. Choosing to go for two and the lead, Darlington's Flournoy tossed a fade to McClure in the corner of the endzone to take the lead 16-15. Darlington kicked off and on Adairsville's second play from scrimmage Trey Edge held up the ball carrier while Brooks Busby issued a bone-crushing hit to knock the ball loose. Kyle Parks picked up the fumble and sealed the win for Darlington.
